·         PR/255 – Shellfish culture: effects on the Venice lagoon, hygienic compatibility, environmental impact and management, funded by Ministry of Environment;

·         PR/271 – Sustainability of new co-management fishery strategies by means of an ecosystemic approach, funded by Ministry of Environment;

·         PR/288 – Structure, dynamic and functional characteristics of biological communities dominated by macrophytes and planktonic algaes in the Lagoon of Venice, funded within CO.RI.LA.;

·         PR/290 – Characterization of pro-deltaic deposits of rivers flowing into the coastal area between Reno (Right canal) and Goro (Po). Role of organic matter microbic degradation processes on oxygen fluxes variations and nutrients at the interface water-sediment, funded by ARPA Emilia-Romagna;

·         Realization of a monitoring integrated system on water quality in the Adriatic sea, particularly on eutrophic and mucilage phenomena, funded by ARPA Emilia-Romagna, INTERREG III;

·         PR/295 – Sole (Solea vulgaris) stock assessment in Northern and Central Adriatic and incidence of different fishery activities: Northern area, funded by Ministry of Agriculture Policies, Fisheries General Direction;

·         PR/300 – Evaluation of pollution state and nutritional quality of Manila clam in the Lagoon of Venice, funded by Ministry of Agriculture Policies, Fisheries General Direction;

·         PR/301 – Evaluation of the effects of the No Take Zone (Z.T.B.) of Chioggia on demersal and benthic populations and restocking experiments of commercial species, funded by Ministry of Agriculture Policies, Fisheries General Direction;

·         PR/304 – Developing indicators of Environmental Performance of the Common Fishery Policy (INDECO), Concerted Action within FP6, SSP3, Policies-1.3 (funded by UE);

·         PR/305 – “MUTualisation on FISHeries and Aquaculture european Research institutes” (MUTFISHARE), Concerted Action funded by EU, see www.efaro.org

 

We are working on different research lines. Among them there is a group of research called the "Northern Adriatic Fishery Ecology Research Group", running in close collaboration with the Departement of Environmental Science of the University of Venice http://venus.unive.it/~swe/fishery.html

·         PR/60 - The anchovy in the North-Western Mediterranean: biology, distribution and stock assessment with different methods, funded by the European Community;

·         PR/62 -Project on Research and Experiments in the Adriatic Sea-"PRISMA", funded by M.U.R.S.T.;

·         PR/75 - Analysis of condition of anchovy larvae, E. encrasicolus, for the identification and evaluation of processes determining the variability of recruitment ("A.L.I.C.E."), funded by the Ministry of Agriculture Policy, Fisheries General Direction;

·         PR/94 - Analysis of trawling fisheries within three miles from the coast in the Chioggia marine Compartment, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture Policy, Fisheries General Direction.
